Last Day at Camp :'(

Well last night and today were my last at "end of summer" camp.  I tool advantage of it and had fun, playing and sleeping, eating and sleeping, playing and sleeping.  Going to miss my Camp buddies.  Well not so much that little bitchy girl that thinks she is in charge of our RV.  But it was fun to swim and play ball with her.  She even took over my duties as security dog last night so I could take a nap.  She stood on top of the picnic table and had a better view of those coyotes making all that noise chasing rabbits.  We had Frosty Paw treats again, and helped the Camp Counselors eat their dinner that they did not finish (french fries and hamburgers).

I was so tired last night that I just came in and passed out on our couch and did not even make it onto the blanket or to bed.  Sooooo tired.

They tell me I have to pack up all my stuff, and my toys so that I can go with them in the car to meet my Moms.  I think I will be happy to see them but so tired to probably show how much I missed them  (even if my blog posts show otherwise).

Another Great Day at the New Camp

SO this new camp is fun.  Last night we had a campfire and Finn (one of the crazy Border Collies campers) and I played and played and played by the camp fire.  The we got tired and the Counselors were going to tell us a scary camp fire story but we asked them not to since there were already scary howling and strange animals (they call them Coyotes) running back and forth and making all sorts of noise. So we thought that with a scary story, and the noises these animals were making, we would never get to sleep.  But I did, I fell asleep right by the camp fire, it was warm and nice.  And we went for a walk and I ate more rabbit poo...mmmmm.  This morning we got all the good smells around the camp of all those scary and non-scary animals that came into our campsite during the night (and more poo).

We slept all morning while the Counselors went out and rode those 2 wheel things (Bikes).  Then we had frosty paws and laid outside the rest of the day and had a good day.

Adventures

Well we moved the whole summer camp, cabin and all.  It was neat and I got to try driving.  Well even if I did not actually drive I imagined I was trying out for one of those Subaru dog commercials.  I see a lot of adventures in the days ahead at this new camp location.  And then we went for a walk in this 'desert' thing.  Lots of bunny poop and lots of sticky things in my paws....king size bed and a nice blanket is more my style.

And then Finn and I played by the fire the Camp Counselors made for us.

Soooooo tired!

My head gets so heavy when I am very tired.  The Counselors woke me up with their laughing....I left  and went to bed without them.

Can we just go to bed?

The Camp Counselors are watching something called baseball and it is BORING!  I just want to go to bed and spread out and make sure I take up the whole end of the bed.  But since they will not go to bed might as well just make myself comfortable.....good night...zzzzzzz.

Another Morning Walk

Moms, we are going to do this when I get home from Camp aren't we (wake up at 0500 and go for a walk)?  Another beautiful morning walk and I almost made it today, but did not have the full 24 hour mandatory rest before so had to lay down a couple of times on the way home.  And I got to poop in the middle of the road and no one yelled at me or had to pick it up.

And I found that funny bush again but this time it got all over my legs and not my face.  It itches.

Play Time

They let us finally out of this matchbox cabin and let us play.  Well I was playing!  You can see in this picture that those Border Collies have no clue what play is, working working working is all they do.  What a dumb life....."LIVE FUN" is my motto, screw working.

Boring "YAWN" Day

Today was boring at Camp.  The Counselors said something about 'working'.  I guess that is the same as those damn Border Collies saying they are 'Working' when they are really playing and being goofs.  But I caught up on my sleep from my successful mountain climb yesterday.  The Counselors said something about taking us to the Camp swimmin' hole but maybe eating dinner and taking another nap is a better option.  Such is the life at Camp.

P.S. Oh I did do a lot today when the Counselors were 'working', I did my duties as RV Security Dog.  I barked and barked and barked, which just makes that 'working' (yeah right) dog bark and we just have a chorus at anything and everything in the Camp.  And everyone in Camp is commenting on my ability to warn not only my own RV but all the others in the Camp. And I think you need to send that Anti Security (Barking) Egg back since it is obviously not working!

Story Time

I was really tired last night.  The Camp Counselors were reading us a bedtime story and I just could not stay awake.  Somehow my face fell off the Counselors leg and got squished against the couch.  I had a smooshed face when I woke up, very embarrassing (and I missed the ending of the story).

"I'm Not Dead Yet"

WOOOOHOOOO!....the Camp Counselors woke us up early this morning and took us for another walk up the same mountain that almost killed me the first time.  We watched the sun come up over the mountains and then we ran and played and wooohoooed all the way up and down the mountain.....AND I MADE IT!  No resting, no laying down and no complaining about how I was dying like last time.  It must have been the sleeping for most of the last 24 hours.  They made us sit for a picture, none of us wanted that picture with Camp Counselor Jen, we just wanted to run.

P.S.  I found that funny bush again on the mountain and just had to stick my face in it one more time.  Now my whole head and beard are covered.  FUN!  At least I was not like my camp mate Sunday who rolled on top of the dead skunk...hehe she is in trouble!

Rest Day

YEAH! The Camp Counselors have declared today a REST DAY!  That means there will not be many posts today since it will only be boring pictures like the one below.....so tired!

Day Trip

Today we got to go on a Day Trip from camp.  First thing was a ride in the car.   And then we ended up at the Dog Park and I got to see my Malamute friend there.  We then went to the place of my swimming' hole and we played in it all day.  We had treats and then came back to the Camp.  We were all very tired on the ride back home.  All in all a good day at camp.  Sure glad I had that talk yesterday about the Counselors trying to kill me with those long walks.

Oh and they found the damn EGG even though I hid it.  Now my job as Security dog is doomed.

Let's Talk!

OK let's talk!  I almost died today on that walk.  I am an inside dog and although my Moms made me come to this camp, I would rather just be inside and watch you Camp Counselors drink wine and watch football games! So tomorrow is Sunday and can we just stay in bed and watch football games instead of doing outside activities.....just saying!

Afternoon Treats

It was time to have our afternoon treats and I was sleeping still from that long "very hard" walk this morning.  So they woke me up and I was still too tired to get up so I just stayed where I was and ate the Frosty Paw right there where I had been sleeping.  This Camp stuff takes a lot out of a pup.  Oh, I am not sure I like all this laughing at me by the Camp Counselors.

Morning Hike (up a big ass mountain)

Whew, did not know if I would make it back to ever write in the blog again.  The Camp Counselors took us all on a morning hike and I was all excited at first.  Then I realized that maybe I should not have run around doing zoomies at the beginning, because this hill was BIG and the trail was LONG. By the time we got to the top and turned around I was tired, very tired.  Had to stop and rest under ever shade tree on the way back.  I asked if they would carry me down and can you believe it they said NO.  But I made it to the bottom, thanks to the big mud puddle to cool off in on the way back. Now I am tired, very tired and sleepy........think I will take a long nap and recover, might even have to skip afternoon swimmin' hole time.

P.S.  I found this very funny bush on the walk that when you put your face in it and pull it out you end up with a face full of green stickers and branches......it is like face painting (dog style).  I do not think the Camp Counselors get the funny part since they are bitching about having to brush me now....

Party Animals

We were all watching The Secret Life of Pets when all of a sudden we all fell asleep and Jen had to sleep on the floor.  Good Times!
